USGS Maps
I admit to being a map junkie, so this site is a lot of fun and gives some great historical detail to the city's growth over the years. The USGS site will also retrieve maps from all over the US, so be inspired to look at favorite places to see what they were like back then. Let me know if you find something of interest to other readers!
Unfortunately, the USGS did not continue to add housing units to their maps, so the maps of the 70s and 80s are not current for that, but they do show new roads and how existing roads and landforms changed.
