Free plans now available

Aren't you tired of seeing architectural renderings of the proposed Block 137 designs?  In this one of the
existing Wizer Building, you can see the structure of the tree silhouetted against the evening sky. Beautiful!

Last week, the city charged $25 for a (new) thumb drive with the Wizer plans on them.  Now these docs are online for free.  I don't know when they were posted - the last time I checked was Sunday and they were not online.

The Narrative and Drawings sections of the document are split into separate documents.  Both of these reside on the LORA project page for the Wizer Block under "Key Documents." Look for the 2 labeled "Revised."

Since the documents are posted online and free (as they should be), can my friends get their $25 back?

Note below that new drawings are expected to come in from now until the hearing date. Check frequently with the planning department to stay up to date with development plans.

From the city website:

The preliminary application is comprised of two documents: the revised design narrative and the project drawings.  These two documents are posted below under Key Documents.  Again, this revised application is preliminary and is currently being reviewed by the City’s Planning Department to determine if the information fulfills the necessary requirements for a complete application.  Changes to these preliminary documents are expected.  Once the application is finalized, the public hearing before the Development Review Commission will be scheduled and the date will be posted on the City website.

  1. The developers have a loose dog running around in their revised design. Better get used to it. If they overbuild our village, there will be 100 dogs running around and lots to pick up.

    1. Every piece of grass and landscaping, from the bluff at Millennium Park to the path along the bay, the landscaping in front of condo developments, the "park" on Evergreen, Rossman Park and every grassy shoulder of the road will be hit. Watch your step, and Don't sit on the grass!

  2. That will be the least of our problems. Every developer after MegaWizer's will want 60 foot high massive buildings. Goodbye village, hello South waterfront.
